Is Global Warming Over
Scientists are now saying that Global Warming is going to stop in the near future if not already. What's more, these seem to be the same scientists that have predicting the doom gloom forecast of melting ice caps and lowland flooding. You know the same ones that Al Gore was citing in his dire forecast of the future.Studies of long term changes in sea temperatures are indicating a lull in the rising earth temperature. This is apparently due to natural variations in climate that occur on earth. The research shows that sea temperatures surrounding Europe and North America are going cool slightly over the next decade. This is flying the face of the popular conception that man is causing Global Warming through technology and the production of so called "greenhouse gases".
What this means is that the predicted 0.3°C global average temperature rise that has been predicted is now not going to happen. The fore mentioned prediction of global average temperature rise is a prediction made by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Could this mean that maybe the UN is wrong too?
Now to be factual here, the report did not totally rule out the possibility Global Warming and said that it is still going to happen. It's just that now the scientists are putting it off for a decade or two. They are now warning us that this is going to start happening in earnest aroung 2015 or so. Still not wanting to admit that they may have been wrong and that natural variations in the earth climate may control the overall earth temperature and not man, they are, at least for now, putting off their forecast of earth's demise.
They also stressed that these findings are only the initial findings from a new computer model of how oceans tend to behave over decades and that it might be misleading to infer that Global Warming had gone away. But then weren't the original cries of anthropogenic Global Warming the results of computer models? Yes they were, and results such as these can be skewed by over zealous alarmists who are looking for a particular result, especially when the ones gathering the input data are the same ones looking to prove a flawed hypothesis.
The fact that remains is that science has yet to prove or disprove the concept of anthropogenic climate change. It is still only a hypothesis, not even a theory. Right now it seems that the pendulum is swinging back the other way toward disproving the notion that man, through his diabolical thinking mind, has ultimately caused the coming destruction of the earth through rising temperatures. The data being collected right now is indicating that the planet is headed for a period of average temperature cooling. This is a cycle that has been happening throughout the course of earth history; a cycle that will continue with us or without us.
