Global Warming And Your Health

Those that refuse to learn the past will be doomed to repeat the past. To not know the present has as much negative effect on the future as this. Global warming has made such an impact that every living species on the planet is doomed, to a degree. As global warming increases, the health of living things, globally, decreases. Our sustenance, air, heat, cold, food and water has all about changed since this threat has knocked.

Many people move to locations where heat is a major factor, but never realize the dangers involved these days, as the temperature rises on a steady course. Many love the heat, rather than the cold, but don't realize the dangers of this same heat to the elderly and to the much younger generations. Dehydration and fatigue has become one of the most common effects among this group, but nevertheless, these problems go ignored by those that aren't effected the same way. It's only a matter of time before even the most healthiest will be affected, as well.

For starters, people with problems with their hearts are going to be effected. As temperatures rise, hearts tend to work harder to pump blood through the body. As temperatures rise, so does the breathing. With this, as the breathing increases, so does ones heart rate. Oxygen is a major component with blood, as well as the lungs, as we know. When either lacks, the results can be disastrous.

Water, itself, is in danger. Water contains much oxygen. Nevertheless, as water warms, it becomes more susceptible to germs and pollutants, including cholera, which is quite harmful to living beings. If water becomes polluted with any bacteria apt to exist in warmer water, and living beings, especially humans, use this water, then we're apt to become polluted as well. Filters, for water, are made for "solid" objects, for the most part. Bacteria, on the other hand, can and will pass through these filters.

While we're on the subject of bacteria, let's discuss these same bacteria that can and do exist within other living creatures that prosper more in warmer temperatures and cause more harm to humans than we believe. Do we know that the most dangerous insect on the planet is the mosquito? Not because of poison, or venom that it has, but the bacteria it carries from host to host. Mosquito's aren't the only insect that passes these bacteria from one to another. There exists many other insects that act the same way. Malaria and Yellow Fever are two of the most common problems existing these days from the passing of insects from host to host.

Seasons become dangerous, due to global warming. For instance, as the earth warms, the seasons change, to the point, that the colder climates become less while the warmer climates are extended. Most bacteria-infested insects survive greater while warmer. Now, the flu and the cold are decreased, but only by these bacteria that dwell in this scenario. What about those that surprise you during the warmer climate? Man has, yet, to find the cure for these "common" ailments.

Lungs and bacteria were spoken about, so why not elaborate on these. As global warming advances, so doesn't smog and other types of pollution. There, already, exists many that have died from extreme temperatures in cities virgin to these increases in temperature. Most, found, are due to respiratory disorders. As global warming increases, so doesn't the dangers to those that do not have healthy lungs and oxygen exchange. This will increase if we don't become aware of the dangers from our past and with the present.

Global warming, regardless of the term, is not a global problem to be dealt with, but an individual problem. It's up to every one of us to do our part to decrease the dangers ahead. We chant, "Children are our future," so let us, individually, care for our future: our children!
